Drop In Medical Check
Bringing Healthcare to Where Farmers Are
Cheshire Agricultural Chaplaincy is taking a practical step to support the health of our farming community by bringing NHS care directly to a place farmers already trust and use.
On Thursday 4th December, the Living Well Service will be sending a nurse to the Meet and Eat Lunch at Coffee House, Rose Farm. The nurse will be available from 11am, offering:
Blood pressure checks
Flu vaccinations
COVID vaccinations (for those eligible)
No booking is needed for the health checks you can simply drop in, get yourself sorted, and get back to your day. Anyone who wants to stay on for the agchap Meet and Eat Christmas lunch can book in as usual.
For many in farming, looking after yourself often comes last on the list – and for some, it only happens when your arm’s hanging off. We want to change that. Your physical health and mental health go hand in hand, and both matter every bit as much as the land you care for and the stock you run.
This initiative is part of our work with the Rural Together Community Partnership, aiming to bring essential services closer to the people who need them but rarely have time to access them. If farmers find this useful, we hope it will open the door to more regular on-farm or community-based health support in the future.
Please share this with friends, neighbours, and anyone in the agricultural world who might benefit. Sometimes the smallest step a quick check-up, a jab, a chat can make a big difference.
