•Create awareness around mental health in the agricultural sector

•Promote mental wellbeing in agricultural sector

•Fundraise for charities already working in mental health & suicide prevention

Following on from the successful RearingToGo calf auction on the 2nd March 2019 which raised over €14,000 in the auction ring and almost €19,000 in total for Teac Tom and sponsored by Volac from the beginning, RearingToGo have again linked up with Volac to bring the campaign to the UK due to the overwhelming support from farmers in the UK.

On the 13th September 2019 RearingToGo will hold a Conference and Workshop on mental health and wellbeing followed by an auction of calves and breeding hoggets at Halls Livestock Auction centre in Shrewsbury.

The conference will include speakers from UK Charities, NFU vice president Stuart Roberts along with other industry experts while the workshop will be run by Crede Sheehy-Kelly, a leading high-performance psychologist and mental wellbeing expert. The aim of the workshop is to help build resilience and provide people with practical tools to manage their mental wellbeing on a daily basis.

The auction which will take place in the afternoon following the conference / workshop will again have celebrity auctioneers. RearingToGo is asking farmers to donate calves or breeding hoggets and in return anyone who donates a calf will receive a bag of Volac Blossom milk replacer while anyone who donates a hogget will receive a bag of Volac Lamlac milk replacer.
